Southland Church is dedicated to serving our community and each other in many ways. One way we do this is through Ministries.

The Clothes Closet
Operational Hours
- Tuesday | 4:30 – 6:30 PM
- Thursday | 4:30 – 6:30 PM
- 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Saturdays of each month 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
The Clothes Closet, located on the grounds of Southland Church, is open two days per week to distribute clothes to those in need. Clothes are donated by church members and outside organizations and are sold at prices as low as 50 cents per item.
Volunteers pick up, sort, evaluate and prepare items for sale. Money collected through the sale of clothes in the “Clothes Closet is used to fund the purchase of food in the Food Pantry.

Food Pantry

The directors and dedicated volunteers in the Food Pantry work tirelessly to provide food for numerous needy people in our area. Open two days a week, the team provides ministry though nutritious food, a listening ear, and compassionate prayer for those who desire it.
This Food Panty serves the following South Georgia counties:
- Lowndes
- Echols
- Brooks
- Lanier
- Berrien
- Thomas
- Ware
- Clinch
- Cook
- Atkinson
Located on church grounds, the Food Pantry has distributed more than 600,000 lbs of food to more than 72,000 people in its five years of operation. Clients are allowed to receive food donations once a month for as long as they remain in need.

Kids
We want our children to learn that God is fun and creative, and He loves them. Because much of our children’s value system is determined during their younger years, we desire to teach them, not just babysit them.
We share the Bible in a fun and exciting way that encourages our children to live for God. Our programs are designed so that our children WANT to come to church every week.
Sunday Mornings
Ages 0-4 years:
During our worship service we have a safe nursery and fun environment for children 0-4 years of age. When you come in there will be a sign directing you to our nursery. Sign your child in and leave them to play with our caring workers.
Ages 5yrs – 5th Grade:
During our worship service, Southland provides a Children’s Church class for school age children in which kids learn a Bible lesson with activities and crafts to reinforce what they are being taught.
